In a shocking turn of events, three tourists from Kerala were discovered dead in a hotel room in Lower Subansiri district, casting a shadow of mystery over their untimely demise.

Lower Subansiri SP Keni Bagra confirmed the distressing news, identifying the deceased as Naveen Thomas (39) and Devi B (39) from Meenadam, Kottayam, along with Arya B Nair (29) from Sreeragam, Trivandrum.
According to SP Bagra, the hotel staff raised concerns when the guests failed to be seen since April 1st, 2024. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the trio had checked into the hotel on March 28th, only to be found deceased in their room days later.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths appear to point towards suicide, with each individual tragically succumbing to their own fate. Arya B Nair was found lying lifeless on the bed with a wrist cut, while Devi B was discovered on the floor with telltale cut marks on her neck and wrist. Naveen Thomas, on the other hand, was found deceased in the bathroom with a cut on his wrist.
Heartbreakingly, Naveen Thomas and Devi B are believed to have been husband and wife, adding another layer of tragedy to the already devastating situation.
In response to the alarming discovery, the district police, aided by forensic experts, conducted a thorough search of the room, collecting vital evidence for further investigation. The postmortem examination is scheduled for the following day to shed light on the exact circumstances surrounding their deaths.
