Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest stems from a money laundering case linked to the now-defunct excise policy, with the Enforcement Directorate being involved. He has been remanded to judicial custody until April 15, along with former cabinet ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, all currently housed in Tihar jail.
The BJP has been vocal in demanding Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation as Delhi chief minister, while the Enforcement Directorate has opposed Arvind Kejriwal’s plea for more time with his lawyer, stating that special privileges cannot be granted merely to facilitate governance from within the jail.
